Abstract

yt (yt-project.org) is a platform for data analysis and visualization, built on Python and with a focus on physically-meaningful analysis and visualization of multi-dimensional data. During this talk I will present yt from a high-level, and provide hands-on examples of how to extract information from datasets using it.

Target audience: Those interested in learning about yt.

Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of Python programming language

Matt Turk is an assistant professor in the School of Information Sciences at UIUC, as well as in Astronomy and a faculty affiliate at NCSA.
