Abstract

The Pegasus Workflow Management System is a directed acyclic graph (DAG) based, powerful, and widely used workflow solution for both high-throughput and HPC workloads. In this seminar, we will give an overview of Pegasus, including how to develop, execute and debug workflows. More advanced topics included will be the automatic collection/use of provenance data and metadata, and Pegasus’ data management approach. The seminar will also provide a glimpse of some of the projects using Pegasus, such as LIGO and SCEC.
